What makes Litigator SportFishing different?
We offer a personalized and professional experience. Our captain, Colt, is the youngest captain in the Bay with over seven years of experience. We provide a high-quality boat that is regularly maintained for comfort and safety. Every trip also includes a dedicated mate who prepares the boat before departure and cleans it after the trip to ensure your day is smooth and enjoyable.
What areas do you service?
We proudly offer fishing charters in the Yorktown, Norfolk, and Chesapeake Bay areas. Our pickup location is at Rodgers A. Smith Landing.
What is included in a typical fishing trip?
All of our fishing charters include the necessary rods, tackle, bait, and gear. We also have a blanket license that allows everyone on board to fish legally. Complimentary water bottles and fish cleaning services are provided for your convenience.
What is the customary tip for the mate?
A tip of 20%–25% of the total trip price is customary and greatly appreciated for the mate's hard work and dedication. They arrive an hour before departure and stay up to two hours after the trip to ensure everything is prepared for your adventure.

What are your different trip options?
We offer a variety of options to fit your schedule and interests:

Do you offer services for kids?
Yes! We offer a thrilling summer fishing camp designed to teach and entertain young enthusiasts. The camp provides a full day of excitement and new fishing skills in the great outdoors.
What should I bring on my fishing trip?
We recommend that you bring food, drinks, and personal items. We will provide a cooler packed with water to keep you hydrated, as well as all the necessary fishing gear, bait, and safety equipment.
Can I take home the fish I catch?
Yes, we can clean and prepare your catch if you would like to take it home to eat. Our mate can fillet your fish so it's ready to cook.
Booking & Policies
How do I book a fishing charter with you?
You can reach out to us by phone or through our website to schedule your personalized fishing trip. We will collect your credit card information to hold your spot.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 7 days' notice for a no-cost cancellation or reschedule. If you cancel with less than seven days’ notice, a $200 fee will be charged. If you don’t show up and we haven’t heard from you within 30 minutes of the departure time, we will have to charge the full trip amount plus a 20% tip for the mate. If the weather forces us to reschedule, there is no fee.
